What changes between them is the bell itself - 4 inches across on the medium, 6 on the large - and therefore the pitch and the carry of the sound.

1,860 g or 3,180 g of cast brass. A thin bell rattles; a heavy one rings and holds the note. The large is 3,180 g - around 7 lb - so this needs a proper fixing into a joist or an anchor, not a drywall screw on its own.

Which size sounds better?
Neither is better, they are different. The 4 inch medium is brighter and shorter. The 6 inch large is deeper and carries further, which is what you want at a main entrance or in a room with height.

Is it loud?
The large is genuinely loud in a small room. If it is going in an apartment hallway or near a bedroom, the medium is the safer choice.

Is it solid brass?
Yes. At 3,180 g on the large the weight confirms it - a plated or hollow piece of these dimensions would weigh a fraction as much.

Will the finish change over time?
Brass darkens naturally. Polish it back with a standard brass cleaner if you prefer it bright, or leave it to deepen - both are normal and neither harms the piece.

How do I clean it?
Dust with a dry cloth, working into the engraving with a soft brush. Avoid water and never put it in a dishwasher. Use brass polish sparingly and buff dry.

Can it hang outdoors?
On a covered porch, yes, if it is out of the rain. Brass spots and weathers in open air, so bring it in if the weather turns.

Is the clapper included?
Yes, the bell comes complete with its clapper and chain. Nothing to assemble.

What if it arrives damaged?
Shipping is insured. Photograph the damage, email contact@urliutsav.com, and we will replace it or make it right.

Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days in original condition and packaging. Return shipping is arranged and paid by the customer, so please check the dimensions against your space first.

Shipping

Free insured shipping across the USA and Canada.
