White and Gold Wall Hanging Pooja Mandir
A pooja mandir is a home temple — the cabinet that holds deity idols, diyas and puja essentials in a Hindu household. This one comes in two sizes, both hand-painted white and gold with carved jaali detailing, so it works whether you have a dedicated pooja room or a single shelf-width corner in an apartment.

Which size do I need?
The difference is interior clearance. Measure your tallest murti including its base, and leave room above it for a crown or a small diya.
- Compact: 24"H × 18"W × 12"D outside, 11"H × 17"W × 11"D inside, 8 kg
- Large: 30"H × 24"W × 12"D outside, 16"H × 22"W × 11"D inside, 12.5 kg
Choose Compact for a shelf, a console top or a small apartment. Choose Large if your idols are over 11 inches, or if you want room for several together.
Where it goes

Frequently asked questions
Wall hanging or floor standing?
Both work. To hang it, fix a wooden support ledge into a wall stud and rest the mandir on the timber — nails or drywall anchors alone will not hold 8 kg (Compact) or 12.5 kg (Large). A length of wood from any hardware store does the job. Mounting hardware is not included.
Standing is what we recommend where you have the space. When the mandir sits at the level you sit at, you come to it rather than reaching up to it — you settle on the floor and light the diya at eye level. Place it on the floor, or on a 24-inch bajot to bring it to seated eye level.
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. It ships fully assembled — no tools and no construction. The only step is flipping the decorative crown into position.
Does it include an interior light?
No. The interior is open and unlit, which lets you fit an LED pooja light of your choice.
Can I keep a lit diya inside?
Use the pull-out drawer. Slide it open and set the diya there, so the flame sits in open air rather than inside the closed cabinet. Keep it clear of the doors and the painted surfaces, and do not leave it burning unattended.
What size idols will fit?
The Compact gives 11"H × 17"W × 11"D of interior space. The Large gives 16"H × 22"W × 11"D. Measure your tallest murti including its base before ordering.
What is it made of?
Solid mango wood, finished with hand-embossed painting. Every piece is painted by hand in India, so small variations in the detailing are normal and are a mark of the craft rather than a defect.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep it out of direct sunlight so the painted finish holds its colour, and avoid water or solvent cleaners on the hand-painted surface.
What if it arrives damaged?
Shipping is insured and we cover transit damage. Photograph the damage and email contact@urliutsav.com and we will replace it or make it right.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days, in original condition and packaging. Return shipping is arranged and paid by the customer, so for an item this size please measure your space before ordering.
