24-Inch Mandala Mirror Wall Art – Monochrome Feather Lippan

Black, white and grey, with gold picking out the edges — the only mandala mirror we make with no colour in it. Dense rings of feather and petal shapes work outward from a 10-inch mirror, tight enough that from across a room the disc reads as texture rather than pattern. Two feet across.

Product details

• 24 inch outer diameter — two feet
• 10 inch mirror at the centre
• 10mm thick
• Weight: 3.12 kg
• MDF disc with a glass mirror
• Hand-painted in India
• Two hanging hooks fitted to the back

How it is painted

Freehand from the centre out. Monochrome is unforgiving in a way colour is not: with nothing to distract the eye, every ring has to be evenly spaced and every feather the same weight, because a slip shows immediately in black on white. It is the most technically demanding piece in this size.

Where it goes

It is the one that goes into rooms the coloured mandalas cannot — a monochrome scheme, a dark green or charcoal wall, a modern interior where an Indian piece would otherwise look like a visitor. Photographed here on sage green and on warm white; it holds both.

Hanging it

Two hooks on the back rather than one, so the disc cannot rotate out of true. At 3.12 kg use screws into drywall anchors, or a stud. Screws and wall anchors are not supplied.

Care

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Glass cleaner on the centre mirror only, applied to the cloth rather than sprayed — marks show more on a white ground than a coloured one.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your other black and white mandala?
This one is black-dominant and dense, built from overlapping feather shapes. The Ivory and Black Geometric is the opposite — a pale cream ground with open black line work and a 14-inch mirror. Same colours, completely different weight on a wall.

Is there really no colour at all?
Black, white, grey and gold accents. Nothing else.

Is the centre a real mirror?
Yes — real glass, 10 inches across.
